Bill gates who grew up in Seattle Washington and was a college dropout, became one of the most successful men in the world by founding Microsoft. He has a net worth of $74 billion and has donated around $28 billion in his lifetime. Bill Gates took after his mother, who often volunteered at non-profit organizations. He has donated billions to foundations to help fight off disease that are not necessarily in the US but are killing millions in other countries like malaria. He plans to donate almost all his money to education and scholarships when he passes.

One player that really stands out to me that donates a good portion of his hard earned money is Lebron James was born on December 30th of 1984 in Akron Ohio he attended St Vincent St Mary High school in Akron. He donated 42 million dollars to send 1,100 kids with challenged backgrounds to college because he said everyone deserves a chance. in a interview he had when he returned home to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers he said " Its the reason i do what i do" These kids have big dreams and im happy to do what i can to get them there". Things like this make players famous things that they do to give back not all of there mistakes.

Ellen is always helping the LGBT community because she is an active member of Parents & Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) and spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign's Coming Out Project. Within her career there were many ups and downs first Ellen tried standup comedy and then a couple of tv shows that later ended and soon after all those falls her biggest success is her talk show The Ellen Degeneres Show. Ellen supports around 30 causes such as LGBT, anti-bullying, cancer, rape/sexual abuse and many more. Since she is lesbian she helps the LGBT community and the others out of the kindness of her heart. Ellen has made the world a better place in so many ways one for kids with cancer such as Talia she granted her dying wish of becoming a makeup artist. Another is that Ellen has donated and helped many underprivileged schools and kids. Ellen has done so much in her power to help others and she has impacted so many people and is still doing so.

Walt Disney who was born in Chicago, Il on December 5th, 1901 and later died on December 15th, 1966. What made him A philantropist was that after he founded Disney and he was able to make good money off of making cartoons, he specifically donated some of his money and spend the time; he funded the money and helped fund the California institute of art. With his contributions, he was able to help out a college that a lot of people went to to fullfil their dreams like he did. He made hand-made cartoons and published them in the newspaper until he got recognized and began a business with Walt Disney. He made society better by funding his money to Art institutes so people can strive for their dreams and to be someone like him in the future.
